Week 10 Report Card: The Wheels are Officially Off

Updated: Dec 24, 2023

Time pull the rip cord Bills fans. It is officially time to panic

The Bills put on another embarrassing display of football in a week 10 matchup vs the struggling Denver Broncos.

After a week that brought the ill-fated "players only" meeting to the Bills locker room, the Bills again thoroughly underperform. This week all three facets of the Bills completely squandered an opportunity for a much needed win at home before a tough stretch of opponents to close out the year.

Less than 24 hours later the termination of Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey happened. When asked about Dorsey being relieved of his duties Head Coach Sean McDermott said that it was "his decision and his alone. " Maybe McDermott should put himself in review after some of the defensive schemes we saw on the Broncos last drive leading up to their game-winning field goal.

Nevertheless, this was an abysmal effort on all fronts starting with the coaching staff. Here's our grades. Surprise... theyre awful

Offense: D-

The saving grace for the offense keeping this from getting an F was Dalton Kincaid. James Cook played well but still had issues holding onto the ball. Turnovers again kill the flow of the offense.

Defense: B-

Again the defense played well enough to win even being held together with spit and duct tape after all of their injuries. I blame the defensive schemes from McDermott on the last drive, but overall D played well.

Special Teams: F

WHAT A DEBACLE! If there was a blood sacrifice to be had outside of Ken Dorsey it should've been Special Teams Coordinator Matthew Smiley. Consistently punting the ball to the Broncos talented return man Marvin Mims. The Bills lost the field position battle all game. But the pinnacle was having 12 men on the field during the Broncos 1st attempt at a game winning field goal in which kicker Will Lutz missed.
