Shane Buechele, aged 25, went undrafted during the 2021 NFL Draft after a college football career split between Texas and SMU. The Kansas City Chiefs signed him as an undrafted free agent shortly afterward. Buechele found himself on Kansas City’s active roster in November 2021, where he remained until this offseason.

Buechele’s arrival in Buffalo brings an intriguing twist, as he could potentially offer valuable insights into Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense. This knowledge could prove invaluable when the Bills clash with Mahomes and the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Sunday, December 10.

The Bills presently have only two quarterbacks on their active roster, Josh Allen and Kyle Allen, following Matt Barkley’s placement on injured reserve. Regardless of whether he ascends to the active roster, the Buffalo coaching staff will likely tap into Buechele’s knowledge to help the team overcome the Chiefs and emerge as contenders in the AFC.
